In this section:What is Federal Work-Study?
The Federal Work-Study program allows students to earn money to pay for college expenses while gaining valuable employment experiences. The program provides part-time job opportunities on or off-campus and is need-based.
Students can work up to 25 hours per week based on their Federal Work-Study allocation. Students are paid at an hourly rate and paid once a month according to TSC’s payroll schedule. Students may not work during scheduled class time.
How do you apply for Federal Work-Study?
Step 1: Complete the FAFSA
Submit the FAFSA each year to determine your eligibility for Federal Work-Study and other
financial aid programs.
Step 2: Review Your Financial Aid Offer
If you are eligible, a Federal Work-Study award may appear in your Workday financial aid
offer.
Step 3: Accept Your Award
Accept your Federal Work-Study award in Workday under Accept/View Awards.
Step 4: Attend Orientation
Students must attend the Federal Work-Study Orientation before beginning employment.
Orientation is required each academic year. Information about orientation sessions and available positions can be found on the TSC Federal Work-Study Job Board via MyTSC.
