Library Mission Statement

The Libraries at Tallahassee State College support the College’s mission by offering learning and social spaces for students, faculty, staff, and the community. They provide resources and services that support education, culture, technology, and lifelong learning. The Libraries also keep up with new trends in education to meet the needs of the College’s learning community.

Library Locations

Main Campus TSC Library

The TSC Library is on the main campus and shares a building with the Learning Commons. It offers books, services, and support for students and instructors. You can check out items at the first-floor desk and get help with research and citations at the second-floor desk. TSC students, faculty, and staff can also use library computers, print documents, and reserve study rooms for solo or group study. Join our group on MYTSC.

TSC Riley Archive on Main Campus

The TSC Riley Archive is on the first floor of the main campus Library. It holds papers, books, and writings about African-American history from 1860 to 1960, covering the Civil War to the Civil Rights era. The collection focuses on Leon and Gadsden Counties in North Florida.

Tallahassee Democrat Photo Collection

On the 2nd floor of the main campus library, the Tallahassee Democrat Photo Collection holds over 31,000 photos stored in 31 cabinets, 25 standard boxes, and 2 file cabinets with negatives and microfilm (from 1982 to 2006). The collection includes two main types of images: original black-and-white photos and microfilm.

Most of the photos show people, places, and events in Tallahassee from around 1978 to 1993. The microfilm reels include copies of the Tallahassee Democrat newspaper from 1905 to today. These newspaper archives are housed at Tallahassee State College.

Ghazvini Library

The Ghazvini Library is on the second floor of the Ghazvini Center for Healthcare Education. TSC students, faculty, and staff can check out books and items like laptops, webcams, headphones, and marker sets. The library also has computers, printers, and study rooms. The books and materials are chosen to support healthcare students at the Ghazvini Center. Join our group on MYTSC.
